The Sporkman Chronicles
by John Troutman

Shannon: Well, here's another comic that makes me laugh on a regular basis...John's work is funny, with the art complementing the excellent writing - funny, chock-full of pop-culture references, and full of plotlines, timelines, and time warps that would make Frank Miller clasp his head and say "Who dat? Who dere?" until he got to the end of the storyline...where John wraps everything up in a denumont (sp?) that leaves you shaking your head and thinking "Oh, that Sporkman..."

The amneisac Sporkman himself is a hero somewhat reminiscent of Ben Endlund's Tick, although not quite as loopy...usually. His foes are the omnipresent Spammer and his toadying sidekick, GuanoMan (among others), but where Sporky really shines is in the daily interaction with his friends: Steve, Amanda, and Rob.

I can't really go into a synopsis of the comic's plot here, considering that John's had eighteen different storylines since he started the comic on January 31st, 2000. But I can and will say, go read it. Start at the beginning, even - you won't regret it!
